Great Guide!

I found this book very well written and easy to follow. I especially like the format of the grammar chapters, where the wrong version of a sentence is presented before the correct way is shown. It really helps you strengthen your grammar fundamentals. The grammar drills at the end of each chapter are also really invaluable because they expose you to different sentence examples under the same concept.

I highly recommend this book for the SAT Writing.

Helped me to a 800 on Writing!

I bought this wonderful book just 5 days before I took the SAT. However, this detailed guide provided everything I needed to achieve a 800 on the Writing Section. It elaborates on all possible grammar rules one needs to know to do well. Moreover, it contains an essay template that I adjusted to fit my own (getting my an 11 on the essay), three practice Writing Sections, and even a Cheat Sheet that goes over the most missed questions. I highly recommend this book to students who are wanting a 750 or higher.

A must-read book for anyone taking the SAT

This is one of the best books for anybody studying for the SAT. There are numerous practice questions and explanations that allow students to learn effective strategies for answering different types of SAT grammar questions. I have assigned this book to my students and saw a marked improvement in their performance. I cannot recommend this book more highly, so go out and get it for yourself, your child, your student or for someone who wants to improve their grammar.

The Yokai Watch takeover of America continues!

This series is great! Easy to read for both children and adults. These Yokai monsters are awesome! And don't worry, they aren't replacing Pokemon. Both series will continue on together.

My son loves Yo-Kai Watch. Wal-mart sells them a tad cheaper, I got the first two books at Wal-Mart, but couldn't wait for the 3rd one as it is my sons Easter present. Came very fast in the mail. Very happy with this purchase

lesson books....books 1 through 3 & the BLUES book as well.

Great Reference and Reading

Another really nice reference book from the Squadron/Mutza stable. Lots of photographs - one of which I took. As for accuracy, I can vouch for the section penned by Lad Vaughan because we flew together. I have no reason to believe that any of the other sections are less accurate based on Wayne's track record. The only shortcoming from my perspective is that it somewhat sanitizes what a dirty, bloody business flying armed reconnaissance in Vietnam actually was. I looked at the photos of the wrecked Loaches and it immediately took me back to what they looked like when still occupied - and I really didn't want to go there. Highly recommended.

Scouts Out!

This book is a compilation of stories of the crews of Aeroscouts in Vietnam. Since I was an Aeroscout pilot in 1971, I found it interesting as the book covered lots of different units, locations and tactics, including my own area of operations. The stories were from the perspective of pilots and crewmembers, and dealt with topics that will be recognized by almost anyone who served in Vietnam as a helicopter crewman. The stories ran the gamut from mundane to exceptional, humorous to tragic, and everything in between.

Having served as an aeroscout crew chief with A troop 1st Squadron 9th Cavalry , 1st Cavalry Division in 1969 I can attest to the accuracy and completeness of this book. It is very well put together, and documents the extraordinary accomplishments of the air cavalry in the Vietnam War.

About the Author

Megh R. Goyal, PhD, PE, is a retired professor in agricultural and biomedical engineering from the General Engineering Department in the College of Engineering at University of Puerto Rico–Mayaguez Campus; and senior acquisitions editor and senior technical editor-in-chief in agriculture and biomedical engineering for Apple Academic Press Inc. He received his BSc degree in engineering in 1971 from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, India; his MSc degree in 1977 and PhD degree in 1979 from the Ohio State University, Columbus; and his master of divinity degree in 2001 from Puerto Rico Evangelical Seminary, Hato Rey, Puerto Rico, USA. He spent one-year sabbatical leave in 2002–2003 at the Biomedical Engineering Department at Florida International University in Miami, Florida, USA. Since 1971, he has worked as soil conservation inspector (1971); research assistant at Haryana Agricultural University (1972–75) and Ohio State University (1975–79); research agricultural engineer/professor at the Department of Agricultural Engineering of UPRM (1979–1997); and professor in agricultural and biomedical engineering in the General Engineering Department of UPRM (1997–2012).

He was the first agricultural engineer to receive the professional license in agricultural engineering in 1986 from College of Engineers and Surveyors of Puerto Rico. On September 16, 2005, he was proclaimed as "Father of Irrigation Engineering in Puerto Rico for the twentieth century" by the ASABE, Puerto Rico Section, for his pioneer work on micro irrigation, evapotranspiration, agroclimatology, and soil and water engineering. During his professional career of 45 years, he has received awards such as Scientist of the Year, Blue Ribbon Extension Award, Research Paper Award, Nolan Mitchell Young Extension Worker Award, Agricultural Engineer of the Year, Citations by Mayors of Juana Diaz and Ponce, Membership Grand Prize for ASAE Campaign, Felix Castro Rodriguez Academic Excellence, Rashtrya Ratan Award and Bharat Excellence Award and Gold Medal, Domingo Marrero Navarro Prize, Adopted Son of Moca, Irrigation Protagonist of UPRM, and Man of Drip Irrigation by Mayor of Municipalities of Mayaguez/Caguas/Ponce and Senate/Secretary of Agriculture of ELA, Puerto Rico.

He has authored more than 200 journal articles and textbooks, including Elements of Agroclimatology (Spanish) by UNISARC, Colombia, and two Bibliographies on Drip Irrigation. Apple Academic Press Inc. (AAP) has published his books, namely Biofluid Dynamics of Human Body, Management of Drip/Trickle or Micro Irrigation, Evapotranspiration: Principles and Applications for Water Management, Sustainable Micro Irrigation Design Systems for Agricultural Crops: Practices and Theory, Biomechanics of Artificial Organs and Prostheses, and Scientific and Technical Terms in Bioengineering and Biotechnology. During 2014–15, AAP is publishing his ten-volume set, Research Advances in Sustainable Micro Irrigation.
